Job summary

Arcadis in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Fire Safety Engineer to join our building and rail project teams in Leeds. You will deliver fire engineering design, assess compliance with AD B, BS 9991 and related standards, and mentor junior staff while leading projects.

Role involves client liaison, desk reviews, development of Fire Risk Assessments, and contributing to fee proposals and bids within a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• The candidate has recent demonstrable experience in fire safety across multiple sectors within a client-focused environment.
• Experience writing Fire Risk Assessments and fire safety reports for buildings and rail projects.
• Proven ability to lead project teams and contribute to bids and fee proposals.

Responsibilities

• Lead fire projects and project teams (senior level and above).
• Develop Fire Safety Strategy reports and Means of Escape analyses.
• Provide fire engineering advice and design verification for UK regulations.
• Mentor junior staff and support professional growth.
• Attend internal and client meetings and support bid development.
