Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Fire Safety Engineer to deliver consultancy-based fire engineering work across the UK and abroad, supporting design projects from early stages. The role involves leading projects within a multidisciplinary environment, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring compliance with AD B, BS 9999, and related standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a range of sectors and in a technical fire safety engineering environment within a client-focused environment.
• Ability to build rapport with clients and internal teams and to communicate complex Fire Safety concepts clearly.
• Experience in writing reports and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Experience in medium to large, multi-disciplinary environments.
• Membership with IFE, CABE, RICS, IET, CIOB or working towards membership.

Responsibilities

• Lead fire safety design work and project teams to deliver compliant solutions.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, project management, contractors and authorities.
• Develop Fire Safety Strategy reports and Means of Escape analyses.
• Stay up to date with UK fire safety regulations and standards.
• Support on bids, proposals and fee development; mentor junior staff.
