Job summary

Arcadis is recruiting in the UK for a Senior Consultant and/or Principal Consultant to join our Fire Engineering team. The role focuses on fire safety engineering across buildings and rail sectors, with desktop reviews and design support on projects in the UK and beyond.

You will develop fire safety strategy reports, conduct evacuation analyses, interpret UK standards (AD B, BS9999, BS7974, BS9991, BB100) and engage with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Strong experience of fire safety engineering skills.
• Engineering or science degree from a recognised university.
• Professional recognition by a engineering body and Chartership preferred.
• CSCS card and security clearance desirable.

Responsibilities

• Development of Fire Safety Strategy reports.
• Means of Escape analysis, evacuation times and routes.
• Assessment of UK regulations such as AD B, BS9999/BS7974/BS9991.
• Understanding rail fire safety standards (LUL, Network Rail).
• Third party design verification and client meetings.
• Support proposals and marketing material for fire safety capabilities.
• Attend internal and external design team meetings.
