Job summary

Arcadis, a global leader in sustainable design and engineering, is seeking a Senior/Principal Fire Safety Consultant to join its UK Fire Engineering team. The role focuses on desktop reviews of design projects, mainly in the building sector, with some rail projects.

You will work independently on tasks and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver strong fire safety solutions. Ideal candidates have strong fire safety engineering experience, a relevant engineering or numerate degree,

Qualifications

• Strong experience in fire safety engineering essential.
• Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership preferred.
• CSCS Card desirable.
• Ability to obtain security clearance desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop Fire Safety Strategy reports.
• Conduct Means of Escape analysis and evacuation calculations.
• Review British Fire Safety Regulations and Standards for buildings.
• Support fire safety for rail projects and other sectors as needed.
• Prepare proposals and marketing material for fire safety capabilities.
• Attend internal and client design meetings.
