Job summary

Residential Living Recruitment seeks an experienced Facilities Manager to lead the hands-on operation of a brand-new multifamily development in Leeds. You will head the on-site maintenance, ensuring safety, compliance and excellent resident experience as the building mobilises from handover through ongoing operation.

The role requires strong FM or property management background, ability to manage budgets and teams, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Strong facilities management experience in residential or Build-to-Rent environments.
• Experience overseeing maintenance programmes and service providers.
• Good knowledge of M&E systems and building services.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day maintenance and technical operation of the development.
• Manage planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
• Carry out regular building, apartments, and health & safety inspections.
• Ensure statutory compliance requirements are met and documented.
• Oversee contractors to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality delivery.
• Manage building systems, assets and maintenance records.
• Support apartment turnarounds and prepare homes for new residents.
• Monitor budgets and identify opportunities to improve asset value.
• Lead, coach and develop on-site maintenance team members.
• Collaborate with operational teams to deliver an exceptional resident experience.
• Support mobilisation, handover, commissioning and defects management.
