Job summary

Buildforce Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a residential 80‑apartment development in Leeds. The candidate will drive day‑to‑day site operations, coordinating trades from first fix to handover and leading a Finishing Manager to ensure on‑time delivery of high‑quality finishes.

The role requires hands‑on leadership, strong organisational and safety focus, and SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Site Manager on residential new-build projects.
Experience delivering apartment blocks or multi-unit residential developments.
Strong knowledge of first-fix works, plastering, second fix and internal finishes.
Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades.

Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day running of the site, overseeing construction activities from first fix through to completion.
Coordinate subcontractors and trades, including drylining, plastering, second fix and internal finishing works.
Manage and support the Finishing Manager, ensuring works are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Drive the construction programme and ensure key milestones and deadlines are achieved.
Monitor workmanship and maintain high standards of quality throughout the development.
Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation and site procedures.
Coordinate labour, materials, deliveries and subcontractor activities.
Identify potential delays and implement effective solutions to keep the project on track.
Oversee snagging, defects resolution and final handover of the apartments.
