Job summary

Outsource UK in Bristol is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead a team designing and developing advanced semiconductor equipment. The role is hybrid with early Friday finish and a salary up to £63,000 plus a 7.5% bonus and excellent benefits.

You will guide engineering delivery, ensure safety, compliance and cost targets, mentor engineers, and drive modularity across programmes to maximise reuse and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering (Bachelors minimum; Masters desirable)
• Significant experience in electrical engineering product design and development
• Proven experience coordinating projects and leading engineering teams
• Experience in regulated, compliance-driven environments

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering activity across product and system development programmes
• Work with core engineering teams to deliver solutions from ambiguous requirements
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define work packages and resolve issues
• Own safety and testing activities for assigned systems/sub-systems with verification and validation
• Drive modularity and standardisation to maximise reuse across programmes
• Review and approve technical reports and documentation
• Mentor engineers across experience levels toward leadership roles
