Job summary

Progressive Recruitment in Clevedon is seeking a Lead Electrical Design Engineer to lead a growing team within a global engineering manufacturer. You'll own technical direction, govern design and support complex electro–mechanical systems in a highly regulated environment.

The role offers hybrid and flexible working, a salary up to 63,000 plus an annual bonus up to 7.5%, pension and wellbeing benefits, and clear progression opportunities across engineering programs.

Qualifications

• Excellent leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis experience.
• Experience leading engineers, projects or tech work packages.

Responsibilities

• Leading, mentoring and developing a team of Electrical Engineers.
• Technical ownership of complex electrical systems and sub-systems.
• Supporting sustaining engineering, product upgrades and lifecycle activities.
• Managing technical risk, design reviews and governance activities.
• Supporting product verification, validation and compliance programmes.
• Leading root cause investigations and corrective action implementation.
• Driving engineering best practice, standardisation and continuous improvement.
• Collaborating with manufacturing, service, project and customer-facing teams.
• Supporting engineering change, configuration control and technical documentation.
