Job summary

Pertemps Bristol Commercial is recruiting a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to sustain and enhance existing semiconductor equipment. The role concentrates on reliability, safety and long-term performance through design upgrades and issue resolution.

You will collaborate across engineering, service and suppliers to deliver practical solutions meeting customer requirements, with hybrid working options and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or related field.
• Experience in electrical design and product development.
• Good communication skills and ability to explain technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical modules to improve existing products.
• Investigate and resolve recurring technical issues in the field.
• Develop design upgrades to improve reliability, safety and maintainability.
• Manage obsolete components and identify alternative sources.
• Verify designs against requirements and standards with calculations and testing.
• Produce technical documentation including drawings, BOMs and test data.
• Collaborate with engineering, service, manufacturing and suppliers to deliver solutions.
