Progressive Recruitment is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for its client in Clevedon, UK. The role focuses on designing complex electrical and electro‑mechanical systems within a regulated environment, delivering improvements across the product lifecycle.

You will work with manufacturing, service and suppliers to develop safe, commercially viable engineering solutions, contributing to continuous product enhancement and compliance with standards.

Competenze

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience designing complex electrical or electro‑mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of product development and engineering change processes.
• Understanding of Design for Manufacture and Design for Assembly principles.
• Experience with electrical schematics and documentation.

Mansioni

• Electrical design and development of product enhancements and engineering upgrades.
• Lifecycle management and continuous improvement activities.
• Managing component obsolescence and alternative sourcing solutions.
• Producing electrical schematics, drawings and engineering documentation.
• Verification and validation of designs through calculation and testing.
• Supporting Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) initiatives.
• Maintaining design records, bills of materials and technical documentation.
• Supporting manufacturing, service and supply chain teams with engineering solutions.
• Investigating technical issues and implementing robust corrective actions.
• Ensuring designs comply with relevant standards, specifications and quality requirements.
