Job summary

Airbus Belfast Limited, a premier aerospace innovator, seeks a Lead Design Engineer to guide design activities and support manufacturing build of aerospace components. You will lead specialist packages in structures and/or systems installation, ensuring airworthiness and Design Authority compliance.

You will mentor engineers, drive feasibility studies, and coordinate with customers and suppliers to meet schedules and budget constraints.

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC/HND with relevant design background.
• Knowledge of aircraft structures and airworthiness standards.
• Experience leading engineering teams and communicating with senior management.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship across design packages.
• Take accountability for projects, delivering on schedules and budgets.
• Maintain deep design expertise across design-to-manufacturing lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers on complex packages.
