Job summary

Airbus Belfast Limited is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to own the end-to-end design lifecycle for aircraft structures and systems installations. You will lead the development from concept through to production and provide shop-floor build support, while mentoring junior engineers.

The role requires expertise in metallic and composite structures, proficiency in CATIA V5, and strong communication across site and group teams.

Qualifications

• HNC or equivalent in engineering.
• Minimum 3 years’ design engineering experience.
• Experience with metallic/composite structures.
• CATIA V5 proficiency.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design lifecycle from concept to production.
• Coach junior design engineers and lead trade studies.
• Deliver robust technical outputs on time and budget.
• Interface with manufacturing, customers and suppliers for design dispositions.
