Job summary

Airbus Belfast Limited is seeking a tolerancing engineering leader to drive technical excellence. You will lead a team, apply advanced tolerancing methods and collaborate with design, stress, aerodynamics, manufacturing and quality to optimise production for airframe programs in Belfast.

The role requires managing deliverables, schedules and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has a degree plus several years in management of tolerancing projects, with experience in metal and composite

Qualifications

Minimum of a BSc/BEng with 3 years of management/project responsibility, or 5 years with lesser qualifications.
Experience dealing with senior management, customers, suppliers and regulatory authorities.
Ability to motivate and advise a team on specialist engineering issues amidst change.
Knowledge of ISO tolerances annotation, 1D/3D stack-up analysis, MECAMASTER/3DCS.

Responsibilities

Provide functional leadership and line management to tolerancing engineers and staff.
Apply advanced tolerancing solutions to balance performance and cost in manufacturing.
Collaborate across Design, Stress, Aerodynamics, Manufacturing and Quality in a digital environment.
Ensure projects meet technical deliverables, schedules, budgets and regulatory standards.
