Senior Sous Chef | Full Time

The Role |

As a Senior Sous Chef, you will be an inspirational leader, fostering a positive environment for your team and guests. You will support continuous coaching and development to help your team excel, while driving restaurant performance and delivering exceptional results.

What You Need To Do |

  • Create a positive team environment where members feel valued and supported, celebrating successes and nurturing talent, role-modeling a coaching culture.
  • Ensure an excellent guest experience by maintaining high standards for food quality, health and safety, and equipping your team with necessary skills and mindset.
  • Maintain spotless food, health, and safety standards, and understand kitchen financials including gross profit, stock control, and labor costs, proactively spotting opportunities.
  • Build a coaching culture within your team, working with the Head Chef on recruitment and ongoing development, fostering personal and professional growth.
  • Be a forward-thinking problem solver, capable of quick decision-making and thinking on your feet.

  • Experience leading a kitchen team as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef, driving performance in a fast-paced, complex environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with genuine conversations that ensure your team feels heard and supported.
  • Experience maintaining high standards for food, health, safety, and financial performance including GP and stock control.
  • Ability to manage labor costs and adapt to changing demands.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire and engage your team to thrive in their roles and careers.
