A leading healthcare organization is looking for a Macmillan Lead Cancer Nurse to oversee and improve cancer services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cancer care, effective interpersonal skills, and the capacity to lead diverse teams. This role includes strategic oversight and project management within a sheltering environment, aimed at enhancing patient care across multiple sites. The position is permanently full-time and offers a competitive salary.
We are seeking an experienced, motivated and compassionate Macmillan Lead Cancer Nurse who is able to act on their own initiative, adopting a values led 'can do' leadership style within a climate of constant change to oversee, develop, and continually improve cancer services across the organisation. You will bring expertise in cancer care and a strong track record of leadership and service improvement.
The post holder will provide visible Trust wide professional leadership and support for the specialist cancer nursing workforce and is pivotal in ensuring excellence across the cancer pathway from diagnosis, treatment and living with and beyond cancer diagnosis.
The post holder will be required to lead the personalised care agenda keeping a focus on patient experience and engagement, as well as raising the awareness of inequalities in cancer care.
You will be an inspiring and approachable clinical leader with a deep commitment to improving the experience of people affected by cancer.
