Job summary

Newcastle Building Society is seeking an experienced Lead Business Analyst to head and develop the BA function, guiding complex change initiatives and ensuring high‑quality analysis across projects.

You will mentor analysts, drive best practices, and work with stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into robust business solutions within Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery environments.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of BA teams in complex change environments.
• Experience in business analysis and requirements engineering.
• Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and translate strategy into practical solutions.
• Skilled in Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Experience interpreting system integrations, data flows and API dependencies.
• Ability to produce high‑quality business, technical and data requirements and documentation.
• Committed to continuous improvement and cost reduction through improved processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Business Analysis function across projects, programmes and delivery teams.
• Ensure analysis activities are delivered consistently, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Engage with senior stakeholders, project teams and technical experts to shape solutions.
• Champion modelling, traceability, test assurance and benefits delivery.
• Coach and mentor Analysts to build capability and promote consistent practices.
