Job summary

Amey is seeking a permanent Structures Engineer/Bridges Engineer to join our consulting Structures Team across Manchester, Sheffield, York and Newcastle. You will work with senior engineers on a variety of structures schemes and guide junior members.

The role covers feasibility to construction, with responsibilities including design, calculations, drawings, and client liaison. A degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and progress toward Chartered status are preferred.

Qualifications

• Formal engineering degree in civil/structural engineering or equivalent.
• Active pursuit or attainment of chartered status (ICE/IStructE) preferred.
• Experience in structural engineering design, analysis and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Produce technically sound engineering solutions.
• Own and manage project delivery from start to finish.
• Prepare designs, calculations, drawings and deliverables to quality, cost and programme.
