Job summary

Amey Consulting in Sheffield is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead a structures project team, mentoring junior engineers and delivering high‑quality design solutions. You will own projects from quotation through handover, ensuring designs, calculations and drawings meet cost, quality and programme targets.

You will apply strong experience in structural analysis with LUSAS and Autodesk Structural Bridge Design, while coordinating with clients and other disciplines. A Chartered status is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in structures engineering and delivering schemes.
• Strong understanding of CDM and risk assessment.
• Ability to manage hazards and interface coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team and deliver structurally sound solutions.
• Own projects from quotation to handover.
• Prepare and check designs, calculations, drawings and documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Liaise with client and supplier representatives; attend progress meetings.
