Job summary

Amey Consulting in Sheffield is seeking a permanent Structural/Bridges Engineer to join our Structures team. You’ll contribute to large civil infrastructure projects across the UK, delivering schemes from inception to completion and collaborating with clients, contractors and internal teams.

You will bring proven experience in structural engineering, a relevant degree, and the ability to work within multidisciplinary teams while supporting junior staff and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in structural/bridges projects is preferred.
• Ability to deliver technically sound engineering solutions within budget and time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Produce technically sound engineering solutions.
• Take ownership of project management and technical delivery from start to finish.
• Prepare designs, calculations, drawings and deliverables to meet quality, cost and programme criteria.
• Guide and mentor junior staff on similar tasks.
• Drive health and safety practices and good stakeholder engagement.
