Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced LCV Technician in Newcastle to service and repair vehicles with a focus on vans.

The role offers a salary up to £36,730 base, plus a £1,500 sign-on bonus and overtime at 1.25x, with a 42.5-hour week and weekdays only.

Qualifications

• Must have minimum NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds or Mechanical Engineering Level 3
• Must have proof of certificate before starting
• Must hold a full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults; may include warranty work
• MOT testing duties (DOT) if qualified

LCV Technician Role

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles
• Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair, this work may include warranty approved work in line with our brand parameters
• Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties (if qualified)

LCV Technician Requirements

• Must have a minimum of NVQ, IMI, City and Guilds or Mechanical Engineering level 3 (or equivalent)
• Must have proof of certificate as they will be requested & needed before starting
• Must hold a full UK driving licence
