Job summary

Octane Recruitment is helping a leading main dealer group in the Newcastle area recruit an experienced Vehicle Technician. The role requires 3+ years of hands-on experience, Level 3 qualification, and a full UK driving license.

Working days are Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, with Saturday mornings on a rota. Salary is up to £43,000 basic plus uncapped bonuses, a £3,000 productivity bonus and an efficiency bonus, with overtime to boost earnings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Vehicle Technician.
• Level 3 qualification or equivalent preferred.
• Full UK driving license required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of vehicles.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults and carry out repairs.
• MOT testing duties if qualified.

Vehicle Technician Role:

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles
• Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair, this work may include warranty approved work in line with our brand parameters
• Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties (if qualified)

Vehicle Technician Requirements:

• Full UK driving license
• NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds or Mechanical Engineeering level 3 or equivalent ideally but we will also consider level 2 withmain dealer experience
