Job summary

Qualifications

• Good degree or MSc in Lasers or Optical Engineering or Physics or Engineering or similar qualification plus equivalent practical experience
• Practical laser applications, especially micromachining is advantageous
• Some knowledge of the following - Laser micro-machining - Integration and test of complex laser systems - Machine control software or programming - Materials science - Metrology, microscopes, SEMs etc - Optical systems
• Good computer and IT skills
• Industrial experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop laser micromachining processes for customers and run production work
• Work with state-of-the-art laser systems spanning UV to IR and femtosecond to nanosecond pulses
• Join a high-performing Laboratory team and contribute hands-on science
