Job summary

MARS Recruitment is seeking a Laser Applications Engineer in Didcot to develop laser micromachining processes for customers and to run production work on state‑of‑the‑art laser systems.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Lasers/Optical Engineering/Physics or Engineering with practical experience; knowledge of micromachining, optical systems, metrology and machine control software is advantageous. Competitive salary and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Degree in Lasers/Optical Eng/Physics or related field with practical experience.
• Practical laser micromachining experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge of metrology, optical systems and machine control software is desirable.
• Industrial experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop laser micromachining processes for customers and production.
• Run production work on state‑of‑the‑art laser systems.
• Collaborate with a high performing Lab to optimize processes.
