Job summary

Mars Recruitment is seeking a Laser Applications Engineer in Didcot for graduates in lasers/optical engineering or physics, or with two-plus years of industry experience. You will join a high-performing Laboratory team, developing laser micromachining processes and running production work on state‑of‑the‑art laser systems.

The role requires a good degree in lasers/optical engineering/physics or engineering, hands-on micromachining knowledge, and skills in machine control software or metrology.

Qualifications

• Good degree or MSc in Lasers or Optical Engineering or Physics or Engineering or similar qualification plus equivalent practical experience
• Practical laser applications, especially micromachining is advantageous
• Industrial experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop laser micromachining processes for customers
• Run production work on state-of-the-art laser systems
• Work with laboratory team on diverse laser applications
