Job summary

Mars is seeking a Laser Applications Engineer in Didcot to join a high-performing laboratory team, developing laser micromachining processes for customers and running production work on our advanced laser systems.

You will have a good degree (or MSc) in Lasers / Optical Engineering / Physics / Engineering with practical experience, plus knowledge of laser micromachining, integration and test of complex laser systems, and strong IT skills.

Qualifications

• Good degree or MSc in lasers, optical engineering, physics or engineering with practical experience.
• Practical laser applications, micromachining advantageous.
• Knowledge of laser micromachining, integration and test of complex laser systems.
• Good computer and IT skills; industrial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop laser micromachining processes for customers and run production work.
• Work with state-of-the-art laser systems across UV to IR and with advanced motion control systems.
• Collaborate in a high-performing laboratory environment to deliver micromachining solutions.
