Job summary

MARS Recruitment is seeking a Laser Applications Engineer for Didcot to design and optimise laser micromachining processes. You will work with state-of-the-art laser systems across UV to IR and contribute to production workloads in a hands-on laboratory environment.

The role suits graduates in Lasers/Optical Engineering or Physics with 2+ years industry experience, and offers a competitive package with benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree or MSc in Lasers or Optical Engineering or Physics or Engineering with practical experience
• Experience with laser micromachining is advantageous
• Knowledge of laser micromachining, integration and test of laser systems, machine control software or programming, materials science, metrology, microscopes/SEMs

Responsibilities

• Develop laser micromachining processes for customers and run production work
• Work with state-of-the-art laser systems spanning UV to IR wavelengths
• Collaborate with a high-performing Laboratory team on day-to-day laser applications tasks
