Job summary

Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School & Nursery in Chorley, Lancashire seeks an experienced Teaching Assistant to support KS2 learners and provide lunchtime supervision. The post includes a potential HLTA hour delivery for PPA, with terms that are pro-rated for term-time only working.

The role requires a dedicated team player with KS2 experience, strong communication and organisational skills, plus GCSE English and Maths at A*-C and NVQ Level 2 or above.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at A*-C or equivalent is essential.
• NVQ Level 2 or above qualification is required.
• Desirable Paediatric First Aid certification and TA/HLTA qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support children within KS2 and provide lunchtime hall/playground assistance.
• Deliver PPA (subject to HLTA qualifications) if required.
• Work as part of the KS2 team to promote learning and wellbeing.
