Job summary

St George’s Catholic Primary School is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to provide PPA cover and deliver whole-class KS2 lessons. The role is four days per week (28 hours) across 39 weeks, with permanent employment and a pro-rata salary arrangement.

The successful candidate will work to raise pupil achievement with high expectations for learning and well-being, and participate in the wider life of the school within the Emmaus Catholic MAC.

Qualifications

• Experience of providing PPA cover and delivering planned lessons across Key Stage 2.
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and ability to raise pupil achievement.
• High expectations of pupil achievement and well-being with a willingness to be involved in school life.

Responsibilities

• Work 4 days a week (28 hours) to provide PPA cover and deliver whole-class lessons for KS2.
• Plan and deliver lessons across Key Stage 2 in collaboration with teaching staff.
• Support the school vision by contributing to day-to-day Higher Level Teaching Assistant activities.
