Job summary

Leigh Central Primary School is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support children with SEN in Key Stage 2 and work with the class teacher on planning and assessment. The role also includes playground duty and lunchtime supervision, contributing to a supportive school environment in Leigh.

The post is permanent, 30 hours per week, term time (38 weeks), with salary of £17,916 per annum (£13.70 per hour). Suitable for a dedicated practitioner committed to the aims of our diverse school.

Qualifications

• Level Two Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience of working within Key Stage 2 and supporting children with additional needs.
• Effective communication with staff and pupils.
• Flexible team player with willingness to contribute to Junior team.

Responsibilities

• Support children with SEN on an individual or small group basis.
• Assist the class teacher in assessment and planning.
• Provide playground duty and lunchtime supervision.
• Work across Key Stage 2 as required.
