Job summary

Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School in Leigh is seeking two Level 2 Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. The roles are permanent, 30 hours per week, term-time (38 weeks per year).

You will support teaching and learning, work with individuals and groups, and help deliver targeted interventions under the direction of the class teacher and SENDCO, with a focus on inclusion and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Applicants should hold an appropriate Level 2 qualification or equivalent relevant to the role.
• Experience of working with children with SEND would be advantageous.
• Ability to build secure and appropriate relationships with children.

Responsibilities

• Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom.
• Working with individual pupils and small groups.
• Delivering targeted interventions under the direction of the class teacher and SENDCO.
• Supporting children with SEND and a range of needs including ADHD, ASD, SEMH, and SLCN.
• Supporting pupils to develop communication, emotional regulation, resilience and independence.
