Job summary

Village Hotels is seeking a proactive Sous Chef and Kitchen Team Leader to bridge the Head Chef's vision with a busy service. You will own your section, run a hands-on kitchen operation, and support the wider brigade to ensure every plate meets our exact standards for quality, temperature, and presentation.

You will drive food safety, manage stock to par levels, and coach junior cooks, while maintaining brand delivery and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Operate as a hands-on Sous Chef, running your own section and guiding the flow of work as tickets pile up.
• Maintain food safety and brand standards; ensure temperature checks and HACCP/EHO compliance.
• Supervise and coach junior kitchen team members and KPs, translating strategy into action and fostering a passionate team.
• Manage stock to par levels, minimise wastage, and keep paperwork up to date for monthly stock takes.
