Job summary

Village Maidstone is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader and CDP to own your section and drive a busy service with pride.

You’ll supervise the kitchen floor, enforce food safety and brand standards, coach junior chefs, manage stock par levels, and keep paperwork up to date for monthly stock takes. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef to deliver consistent plates and fast, friendly service.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen leadership or Chef de Partie roles preferred.
• Ability to manage a busy service while maintaining standards.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• The Kitchen Floor: run your own section flawlessly, oversee workflow, monitor portions, and assist others when tickets pile up.
• The Standards: uphold food safety, temperature checks, and HACCP/EHO compliance with our brand requirements.
• The Brigade: supervise junior kitchen staff and Kitchen Porters, translate strategy into action and foster menu passion.
• The Commercial Reality: manage stock to par levels, minimise wastage, and keep paperwork up to date for stock takes.
