Job summary

Village Hotels Maidstone is seeking a proactive Sous Chef and Kitchen Team Leader to drive excellence on a busy shift. You will own your section, while supporting the wider brigade to consistently deliver plates that meet exact standards for quality, temperature and presentation.

You'll lead a kitchen team, uphold food safety and brand delivery, manage stock to par levels, minimise waste, and keep paperwork up to date for monthly stock takes.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a busy hotel kitchen.
• Strong attitude, energy and ability to lead a team.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Run your own section as Sous Chef and lead on your shift.
• Monitor portion sizes and support other chefs during busy periods.
• Protect gross profit through stock control and wastage minimisation.
• Ensure temperature, quality and presentation meet brand standards.
