JD Wetherspoon Plc is seeking a Kitchen Shift Manager to lead the kitchen team, run shifts and drive high standards of hygiene, quality and service. You will coach staff, prioritise tasks and work with the pub manager to optimise profits while complying with SOPs and company policies.

The role requires proactive leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to manage a fast-paced operation across kitchen and front-of-house shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team in a fast-paced pub environment.
• Ability to work unsupervised and manage priorities on shift.
• Strong English communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and guide the kitchen operation, motivating and coaching the team.
• Deliver consistently high standards of cleanliness, quality and service.
• Achieve food delivery time targets and maintain stock control.
• Maintain adherance to SOPs, safety and data protection procedures.
• Support pub manager with recruitment, training and rota management.
• Attend weekly meetings and implement actions from management briefs.
