The role involves running shifts, delegating tasks, and maintaining compliance with SOPs while supporting the pub manager on performance and cost targets.

You will motivate staff, manage busy periods, and contribute to customer satisfaction through excellent service, training, and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience in hospitality or retail settings.
• Ability to manage busy kitchen shifts and coach staff effectively.
• Strong communication skills and customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee kitchen operation and lead by example to motivate the team.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, food safety, and hygiene standards.
• Deliver high-quality food and fast service to meet targets.
• Open/close kitchen procedures and manage stock, costs and wastage.
• Coach, train and develop team, and participate in recruitment and rota planning.
• Engage with customers and promote promotions and events.
