Job summary

Hamberley Care Homes in Bedford is seeking a Part Time Kitchen Assistant to support its luxury Elstow Manor kitchen. You will help plan, prepare and serve meals that meet nutritional and dietary requirements while following Food Hygiene standards.

The role involves stock management, recording fridge checks, and assisting chefs in a fast-paced environment. Competitive salary, training, and benefits are provided.

  • Proven experience in a similar catering role.
  • Committed to customer care and first-class service provision.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety COSHH regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Chefs in the planning and provision of high-quality meals that meet the nutritional and dietary requirements of our residents
  • Plan, prepare, and serve balanced meals that meet dietary requirements
  • To ensure all food prepared meets Food Hygiene Standards and ensure that safe methods of work are always used
  • Manage all stocks and stores ensuring all food is correctly marked and stock rotation systems are in place
  • To maintain accurate records to satisfy food hygiene requirement such as fridge temperature checks

What you'll be doing
