Hamberley Care Homes in Sevenoaks is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support Nesbit House's kitchen operations.

You will help plan, prepare, and serve meals, ensure Food Hygiene Standards, manage stock, and maintain records. This role is permanent, part-time, with 3 days weekly, and offers a competitive salary plus benefits.

As our kitchen assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our care homes kitchen.

Joining us at Nesbit House, our luxury care home that provides residential, dementia and nursing care for older people, you'll be part of a team that is genuinely passionate about the health and well‑being of our residents.

Working Pattern: 3 days per week, 7:00am–6:30pm (10‑hour shifts), including alternate weekends.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting the Chefs in the planning and provision of high‑quality meals that meet the nutritional and dietary requirements of our residents
• Plan, prepare, and serve balanced meals that meet dietary requirements
• To ensure all food prepared meets Food Hygiene Standards and ensure that safe methods of work are always used
• Manage all stocks and stores ensuring all food is correctly marked and stock rotation systems are in place
• To maintain accurate records to satisfy food hygiene requirement such as fridge temperature checks

About You:

• Proven experience working in a similar catering role, ideally in a care or similar environment.
