Hamberley Care Homes invites applications for a Kitchen Assistant at Brookwater House in Enfield. You will support our chefs in planning, preparing and serving nutritious meals, while ensuring high standards of food hygiene and safe work practices.

• Manage stocks and stores with correct labeling and stock rotation.
• Maintain accurate records such as fridge temperature checks to satisfy hygiene requirements.

What you’ll be doing

• Supporting the Chefs in the planning and provision of high-quality meals that meet the nutritional and dietary requirements of our residents
• Plan, prepare, and serve balanced meals that meet dietary requirements
• To ensure all food prepared meets Food Hygiene Standards and ensure that safe methods of work are always used
• Manage all stocks and stores ensuring all food is correctly marked and stock rotation systems are in place
• To maintain accurate records to satisfy food hygiene requirement such as fridge temperature checks
