Hamberley Care Homes is seeking a Kitchen Assistant at Montague House, Brampton, to support chefs and ensure nutritionally balanced meals for residents. Join a team dedicated to health, well-being, and outstanding care in a luxury setting.

You will assist in planning, preparing, and serving meals while adhering to Food Hygiene Standards and safety practices, with opportunities for training and career development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working in a similar catering role, ideally in a care or similar environment.
• Committed to customer care and first-class service provision.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety COSHH regulations.
• Empathy and a desire to make a difference to the lives of our residents.
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and on own initiative in a fast-paced environment.
• Share our values and demonstrate a Can-Do flexible team attitude.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Chefs in the planning and provision of high-quality meals that meet the nutritional and dietary requirements of our residents.
• Plan, prepare, and serve balanced meals that meet dietary requirements.
• To ensure all food prepared meets Food Hygiene Standards and ensure that safe methods of work are always used.
• Manage all stocks and stores ensuring all food is correctly marked and stock rotation systems are in place.
• To maintain accurate records to satisfy food hygiene requirements such as fridge temperature checks.
