Kitchen Assistant Catering and Hospitality - Beaumont Manor Care Home Contract : Part Time Salary : 12.21 per hour + paid breaks Shift Type : Days Contracted hours : 24

Our private, luxurious care home is delightfully situated by the seaside in Frinton-on-Sea, which offers premium living for the elderly, comprising of 70 bedrooms.

We're looking for a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team, ensuring the preparation and delivery of high-quality meals, while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

What You'll Do
  • Food Preparation : Assist in the preparation of food, helping to get meals ready efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Kitchen Cleanliness : Maintain general cleanliness and tidiness in the kitchen area, including equipment and appliances, ensuring a hygienic environment.
  • Delivery Handling : Receive, check, and safely store kitchen deliveries, ensuring that all items are properly accounted for and stored.
  • Food Safety : Understand and implement safe food handling principles to ensure the highest standards of food safety are met.
  • Cleaning Procedures : Follow cleaning procedures for different surfaces and equipment, ensuring everything is sanitized and well-maintained.
  • Presentation : Ensure that all areas are well-presented and maintained in good condition, contributing to a professional kitchen environment.
  • Safe Work Practices : Practice safe systems of work across a range of tasks to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Health & Safety : Understand and adhere to Health and Safety at Work legislation, always ensuring compliance and safety.
  • Professionalism : Act in a professional and courteous manner at all times, fostering a positive and respectful workplace.
