The Street Guildford, Surrey GU4 7SU. Ashley Park Care Home - Bupa – The Street, Guildford GU4 7SU. CQC rating: Good. Salary: £12.80 per hour. Permanent contract. Shifts: 32 hours per week, Tuesday – Friday 8am – 4pm.

Job title: Kitchen Assistant (Hospitals and Catering environment). We are looking for a passionate Kitchen Assistant to join the team and help deliver an excellent dining experience for our residents.

Responsibilities

• Act as the link between the main kitchen and our residents.
• Assist the chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys and ensure all preparation areas are kept clean and tidy.
• Monitor stock rotation and comply with company policies and procedures following mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
• Assist with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.

Key Skills / Qualifications

• A passion for food with previous experience in a kitchen.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Desire to deliver excellent service at each meal and make residents feel at home.
• Ability to maintain high standards in and around the home and to work with the wider kitchen and care home teams.
• Good communication with team members and residents.
