Job summary

Springcare is seeking an enthusiastic kitchen team member to join our family-run group of Residential and Nursing homes. You will assist with meal preparation and serving, helping the head cook with hygiene-compliant cooking, and maintaining clean kitchen areas and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and serving of hot and cold meals.
• Assist head cook to ensure food is prepared in line with hygiene regulations.
• Keep kitchen and equipment clean to food hygiene standards.
• Under head cook, maintain records of food supplies and fridge/freezer temperatures.
• Be aware of residents' dietary needs and preferences.

About you:

Desired but not essential:

• Food and hygiene certificate
• Previous experience in a similar role however training will be provided

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the preparation and serving of hot and cold meals.
• Assisting the head cook to ensure that food is prepared in accordance with food hygiene regulations.
• Helping to keep the kitchen area and equipment clean and to the standard for food hygiene.
• Under guidance of head cook, maintaining accurate records of food supplies and freezer/fridge temperatures
• Being aware of varied preferences and dietary requirements of individual residents
