Job summary

Springcare is seeking an enthusiastic kitchen team member to join our residential and nursing home catering group. You will assist in preparing and serving meals, maintain hygiene standards, and support the head cook in managing food supplies and temperatures.

We value self-motivation, strong communication, and a professional approach. Desirable but not essential is a Food and Hygiene certificate; training is provided where needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and serving of hot and cold meals.
• Assist head cook to ensure food is prepared in accordance with food hygiene regulations.
• Keep the kitchen area and equipment clean to the required hygiene standard.
• Under guidance of head cook, maintain records of food supplies and temperatures.
• Be aware of varied dietary preferences and requirements of residents.

About you:

Desired but not essential:

• Food and hygiene certificate
• Previous experience in a similar role however training will be provided

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the preparation and serving of hot and cold meals.
• Assisting the head cook to ensure that food is prepared in accordance with food hygiene regulations.
• Helping to keep the kitchen area and equipment clean and to the standard for food hygiene.
• Under guidance of head cook, maintaining accurate records of food supplies and freezer/fridge temperatures
• Being aware of varied preferences and dietary requirements of individual residents
