Job summary

Chorlton Place Care Home in Manchester is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support high quality meals in a clean, well organised kitchen. The role offers a 21-hour week pattern with DBS paid, a pension, and uniform provided as part of a supportive team.

You will help with food preparation, stock, deliveries, and keeping the kitchen safe and efficient, collaborating with the Chef and wider staff to ensure meals meet high standards.

Qualifications

• A positive and reliable approach is required.
• Good organisation and attention to detail are important.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene is expected.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is needed.
• Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of high quality meals in a clean kitchen environment.
• Assist with food preparation and stock organisation under supervision.

About Chorlton Place Care Home
Chorlton Place is a purpose built 48 bed care home in Chorlton, Manchester, providing residential and nursing care. You will join a friendly and supportive team, working in a welcoming environment where person centred care is at the heart of everything we do. With a strong focus on teamwork and making a difference, it is a great place to develop your skills and build meaningful relationships with residents.

• Contracted to 21 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview
As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.

You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.

This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment.
