Chorlton Place Care Home in Manchester is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support high quality meals in a clean, well organised kitchen. The role offers a 21-hour week pattern with DBS paid, a pension, and uniform provided as part of a supportive team.

You will help with food preparation, stock, deliveries, and keeping the kitchen safe and efficient, collaborating with the Chef and wider staff to ensure meals meet high standards.

Qualifications

• A positive and reliable approach is required.
• Good organisation and attention to detail are important.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene is expected.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is needed.
• Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of high quality meals in a clean kitchen environment.
• Assist with food preparation and stock organisation under supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries and storage.
• Work closely with the Chef and wider team to run the kitchen smoothly and safely.
• Contribute to a consistent routine and developing experience in a supportive environment.
