Job summary

Newlands Care Home is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join their team in Stockport. You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness and assist with deliveries, ensuring meals are prepared safely and to a high standard.

The role offers a consistent daytime schedule, with 30 contracted hours per week, and a supportive kitchen environment where you can develop your skills.

About Newlands Care Home

Our 69 bedded home provides residential and nursing care in the peaceful Heaton Moor area of Stockport. Newlands offers stylish living spaces, beautiful gardens and the luxury Beeches Suite, alongside a friendly team who are passionate about delivering kind care and making a difference every day.

• Contracted to 30 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.

You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.

This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment.
