Job summary

Café Rouge is hiring a Kitchen Assistant to join the team in the kitchen. You will help with cleaning, sanitising, and basic food prep, supporting chefs and keeping the back-of-house area orderly.

• Cleaning and sanitising all areas used for meal preparation, including ovens, grills, sinks and stoves.
• Unloading food and equipment deliveries and storing them correctly.
• Keeping work surfaces, floors and walls clean and sanitised.
• Assisting chefs with food preparation such as peeling and washing.
• Maintaining an organised back-of-house area and proper stock handling.

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Cleaning and sanitising all areas used for meal preparation, along with ovens, grills, sinks and stoves
• Unloading food and equipment deliveries & ensuring they are stored in the right areas.
• Making sure that work surfaces, floors, and walls are clean and sanitised.
• Helping the chefs with food preparation such as peeling and washing
• Keeping freezers, fridges, storage and back of house area clean and organised.
