Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Assistant Traffic Control Systems Engineer to join our UK team. You will contribute to designing traffic signal installations in 2D and 3D using AutoCAD, solving design challenges and producing engineering calculations and drawings.

Site surveys, testing, commissioning and client reports form part of the role. You will work with senior staff in a collaborative environment, with mentorship and development opportunities in traffic control systems, digital highways, and

Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software and traffic signals/highways design processes.
• Familiar with 2D/3D design using AutoCAD.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities to support project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design Traffic Signal Installations in 2D/3D using AutoCAD.
• Provide solutions to design problems and prepare calculations/drawings.
• Perform site surveys and support installation and optimization.
• Test and commission equipment, and support project administration.
• Write technical notes and reports for clients and supervise progress with senior staff.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects.
