Job summary

AtkinsRéalis, within the Traffic Control Systems team, delivers traffic signal and ITS projects for UK and international clients. The role focuses on design, implementation, consultancy and advisory work across the transport sector, with a hybrid working pattern from offices in Bristol, Birmingham, Epsom or Nottingham.

You will join a collaborative team, tackle challenging technical problems, and contribute to safe, efficient journeys while developing your career in traffic control systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with traffic signals/ITS schemes and delivering projects from inception to operation.
• Ability to liaise with clients and present technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills and client-facing experience.
• Understanding of design processes in traffic signals/highways design.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Traffic Signal and ITS schemes from inception to operation, including detailed design, FAT, SAT and validation.
• Liaise with clients to provide technical advice and progress project delivery.
• Assist and guide less experienced staff on technical delivery.
• Deliver high-quality technical reports and presentations.
• Develop commercial knowledge including cost estimates and scopes.
• Undertake project management tasks, including budgets and risk management.
• Work both in a team and independently to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
