Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Assistant Traffic Control Systems Engineer in the UK to work on traffic signal and ITS projects. You will contribute to design, analysis and implementation across the UK, with mentorship and opportunities to grow in a collaborative team.

The role offers hybrid working from Epsom or Bristol and potential short travel within the UK and overseas. You will develop technical knowledge, engage with multi-disciplinary teams and support live projects while pursuing

Qualifications

• Experience using CAD software for traffic signal projects.
• Interest in pursuing an engineering career in transport technology.
• Willingness to learn design processes and best practices in highways/traffic signals.

Responsibilities

• Design traffic signal installations in 2D and 3D using AutoCAD.
• Provide solutions to design problems and prepare calculations/drawings.
• Visit sites for surveys and assist installation and optimisation.
• Test and commission equipment and support project administration.
• Draft technical notes, reports and client deliverables.
• Report progress with senior staff and maintain project records.
